The End of an Era

There are not many places left in the world where you can get out of your car and see all the way to the horizon with little obstruction

With a strong focus on rural Alberta and prairie landscapes in general, 2023 would also mark the last full year of shooting film for the foreseeable future. Just a couple of digital images in colour rounding off my top picks, there is a heavy emphasis of an “Alberta that once was” with grain elevators, barns, rusted cars and vast fields.

There are not many places left in the world where you can get out of your car and see all the way to the horizon with little obstruction and I am grateful to be so close to such a beautifully empty landscape where I can de-clutter my eyes and ears in a moments notice.
